Publisher`s description - Peaceful Solution Guide
As its main teaching tool for positive character improvement, the Peaceful Solution Character Education Program is being promoted throughout schools nationwide and internationally. The Peaceful Solution Character Education Program explores some fundamental principles of positive character development. These principles of Ownership, Respect, Asking, Self-control and Do Not Steal, were established based on literature review, which showed one or more of these principles in existing character education programs. Definitions for these principles are as follows:
1. Ownership: everything belongs to someone and should be recognized as such.
2. Respect: to show care and concern for others and care for their belongings.
3. Asking: in order to maintain peaceful relationships, one should ask permission before touching or taking something that belongs to someone else.
4. Self-control: to stop and think about the current situation, examine the options, then proceed with the right choice that will benefit all involved.
5. Do not steal: not to take anything that does not belong to you without permission.
